This research report was commissioned by the panel for The Review of Higher Education Access and Outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People. It investigates factors affecting the success of Indigenous higher education. It provides a review of past reforms, development of Indigenous staff, curriculum, university culture, and ethics and research practice. It proposes an approach to the recognition of Indigenous Knowledges within Australian higher education.
